The Project
Falk modernized 18,200 aquare feet of existing classroom building, project that included selective demolition, structural retrofit, ADA compliant modification, new architectural finishes, roofing, doors, storefronts and windows, arch. casework, laboratory casework & equipment, specialty items, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, & electrical system. This building was constructed to meet sustainability requirements of a LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Silver Project. LEED is a program that encourages green building and promotes sustainability in the construction of buildings and the efficiency of the utilities in the buildings.
The Facility
Del Valle Education Center (Walnut Creek) is the former site of Del Valle High School, now converted to an adult education center.
